Achromatic Presents: NANOOS On August 28th, Achromatic welcomes Nanoos to D.C. Nanoos is a Palestinian-Armenian DJ, producer, and cultural curator based in Chicago by way of Detroit. Drawing from her roots in the SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) diaspora, she has developed a distinctive sound that bridges the traditions of the Levant and North Africa with the energy of Ghettotech, Juke, Hip-Hop, Jersey Club, UK Garage, Dancehall, House, and Techno. Known for immersive, high-energy sets and original productions, Nanoos foregrounds Midwest club music while weaving in Arabi-inspired instrumentation and experimental electronic textures. Her work explores the intersections of music, identity, and cultural resistance, creating dance floors that feel both celebratory and deeply intentional. As the co-founder of Go Baba! Worldwide, Nanoos has helped build a movement dedicated to uplifting Afro, Arab, and Caribbean sounds while creating inclusive spaces for SWANA communities and beyond. With every set, she traces a dialogue between global dance music traditions and her own cultural heritage—delivering a sound that is both forward-thinking and firmly rooted in community.
